A project from our live show MONDAY MADNESS - Join Simon LIVE from AVAGO-INK - Broadcast 21st March · 03/21/2022
A masculine-style card featuring a watercoloured farmyard landscape with a die-cut sheep character. The design uses layered triangular panels in coordinating colours with an embossed gold sentiment, creating a clean and contemporary look.
Pre-cut three triangles from watercolour card stock, a backing card, and gold cardstock for layering.
Stamp the large farmyard background image from the Farm Animals 2 collection onto a triangle using Versafine black ink, inking only the area you need.
Apply a light green wash across the stamped image using the Miya Himi watercolour palette.
Add darker green to the tree line and mix the greens together to create a more vibrant background colour.
Add black to darken the greens and yellow to complete the landscape base layer.
Add definition by painting darker lines along the furrow marks and shading on the hillside.
Darken a few bushes on the hill with additional shading to add more tone and depth.
Apply a very pale blue wash to the sky area, starting from the clouds and brushing down to the hills.
Heat-set the painted landscape panel to dry completely.
Stamp the sheep character from the Farm Animals 2 collection using Versafine black ink.
Watercolour the sheep with grey, adding darker tones to the fleece and black for the legs and ears.
Add red cheeks and darken the tail and swells with a darker colour for definition.
Heat-set the sheep to dry, then die-cut it using the complementary die from the Farm Animals 2 set.
Stamp the 'Sending you love' sentiment onto the card blank using Versafine black ink and embossing pads.
Apply clear embossing powder to the stamped sentiment and heat-set with a heat gun.
Apply gold Izink embossing powder to the sentiment and heat-set to create a shiny gold finish.
