Layered Watercolour Floral Stamped Card

A project from our live show ANYTHING GOES WEDNESDAY - with Toni LIVE broadcast 23rd March 22 · 03/23/2022 · watch it from 10:45

Create a beautifully layered floral card using three coordinating A5 stamps that build up in depth and colour. The stamps layer perfectly to create a soft, watercoloured effect with realistic florals that look professionally painted.

Step by step

  1. Gather white card stock and select your first A5 stamp from the set (numbered 1, 2, or 3). ▶ watch 11:00
  2. Ink up the first stamp with pale pink on the flower heads and light green on all the leaves. ▶ watch 11:45
  3. Lightly spray the inked stamp with water to create a soft, watercoloured effect, then press down firmly onto your white card. ▶ watch 12:15
  4. Clean the stamp and ink it again with a slightly darker shade of pink and green for the second layer. ▶ watch 12:45
  5. Spray lightly with water again and stamp the second layer directly on top of the first, lining up as best you can. ▶ watch 13:15
  6. Clean and ink the third stamp with deeper colours—a darker red-toned pink and a teal or dark green for the leaves. ▶ watch 13:45
  7. For the final layer, apply the darker ink without spraying to keep the colour more intense and add definition. ▶ watch 14:15
  8. Press the third stamp firmly in place, ensuring all floral elements are captured within the design. ▶ watch 14:30
  9. Die-cut the entire stamped card using the coordinating full-cover die plate in one pass through your die-cutting machine. ▶ watch 16:00
  10. Carefully pop out all the die-cut elements to reveal your finished layered floral design. ▶ watch 16:30
