Step by step

  1. Cut two pieces of card measuring 5 inches by 10 inches. ▶ watch 1:45
  2. Score both pieces at 1.5 inches and 3 inches along the length using a scoreboard. ▶ watch 1:45
  3. Crease the first piece with a valley fold at 1.5 inches and a mountain fold at 3 inches using a bone folder. ▶ watch 2:00
  4. Repeat the same valley and mountain fold pattern on the second piece of card. ▶ watch 2:30
  5. Reverse one folded piece over to create a box shape, then glue the two pieces together using red liner tape and wet glue to form the card base. ▶ watch 3:15
  6. Cut a strip of acetate (or card for visibility) measuring 5 inches by just under 2 inches for the wiper mechanism. ▶ watch 6:00
  7. Score a line on the acetate strip just under 1.5 inches from one end, then repeat on the back to create the fold line for the wiper. ▶ watch 6:15
  8. Apply double-sided tape to the corner of the acetate strip where the fold line is, then remove the backing. ▶ watch 6:45
  9. Stick the acetate strip onto the card slightly above the halfway mark, level with the top edge, ensuring it doesn't stick out the bottom. ▶ watch 7:15
  10. Secure the other side of the card using red liner tape and wet glue, checking the wiper mechanism works before fully closing. ▶ watch 8:00
  11. Die-cut a large decorative panel from pale blue card using the sprinkle die and glue it to the front panel with a fine line of glue around the edge. ▶ watch 8:45
  12. Cut and glue two smaller strips from the same die-cut panel onto the side panels to continue the design. ▶ watch 10:15
  13. Die-cut silver glitter and blue card stars, then layer the blue stars on top of the silver ones with glue and foam pads for dimension. ▶ watch 12:00
  14. Stamp an elephant design onto textured grey card using black ink, then die-cut around the outline. ▶ watch 14:45
  15. Stamp the elephant's ears and heart onto pink textured card, then die-cut and glue them on top of the grey elephant body for colour. ▶ watch 16:00
  16. Stamp the main sentiment onto white card using black ink, then die-cut it into a star shape and mount on silver glitter card with foam pads. ▶ watch 19:15
