Step by step

  1. Die-cut the frame front in white cardstock and the frame back in black cardstock using the landscape frame die. ▶ watch 25:00
  2. Score two hinge lines down the left and right sides of a white cardstock strip at half-inch intervals to create a folding hinge system. ▶ watch 29:15
  3. Glue the scored hinge strip to the back of the white frame front, positioning it so the hinges sit along the sides. ▶ watch 30:00
  4. Tear or cut white cardstock into hill shapes to create snowy landscape layers. ▶ watch 31:00
  5. Glue the first hill layer to the front of the frame back, and a second hill layer to the hinge system for dimensional depth. ▶ watch 31:30
  6. Apply white sparkle glitter to the hill areas to create a snowy effect. ▶ watch 36:45
  7. Cut out penguin characters from the washi tape die-cut elements and position them on the hills. ▶ watch 37:00
  8. Add fern and foliage elements from the die-cut sheet around the scene as background decoration. ▶ watch 38:00
  9. Glue the hinged frame assembly to the black frame back piece, positioning it so the hinge sits at the top. ▶ watch 39:00
  10. Score a card blank backing piece and glue it to the hinge system to create stability and allow the card to stand upright. ▶ watch 49:30
  11. Add a sentiment stamp or die-cut to the front of the card and embellish with sequins or additional sparkle as desired. ▶ watch 55:45
