Heart Art and Cocktails Layered Aperture Card

A quick and elegant card combining the Heart Art stamp with an aperture technique and the Cocktails stamp as a focal point. The design uses loose ink work, stencil layering and pre-coloured elements to create a sophisticated finished piece.

Step by step

1. Create a loose ink background using spray inks on a glass mat with water, blending blue, ocean and yellow tones together. ▶ watch 54:15
2. Stamp the Heart Art image onto white card stock using Versafine Clay ink, pressing firmly for full coverage. ▶ watch 54:45
3. Apply ombre ink layering to the Heart Art stamp using blue, ocean and yellow dyes, blending from the centre outwards. ▶ watch 55:00
4. Mount the Heart Art piece onto the loose ink background using foam pads for dimension. ▶ watch 55:30
5. Pre-stamp and colour the Cocktails character image separately using your chosen media (alcohol markers or watercolour). ▶ watch 55:45
6. Mount the pre-coloured Cocktails image to the centre of the card as a focal point. ▶ watch 56:00
7. Add a light stencilled overlay using tea dye ink to tie all elements together and create a cohesive design. ▶ watch 56:15
