Monochromatic Stencilled Rainbow Card

Create a striking monochromatic card featuring a large rainbow stencil with sparkle accents. The design uses grey and blue tones with pearly sparkle spray to create an art deco effect with dimensional interest.

Step by step

1. Insert the rainbow stencil into your Eureka machine. ▶ watch 6:45
2. Select pigment inks in your chosen colours (grey and blue tones work well for a monochromatic look). ▶ watch 7:00
3. Using a stencil brush, dab colour through the stencil onto your cardstock, building up the tones gradually. ▶ watch 7:15
4. Spray pearly sparkle spray onto a glass mat to pick up on your brush. ▶ watch 8:30
5. Dab the sparkle through the stencil to add shimmer to your rainbow design. ▶ watch 8:45
6. Remove the stencil carefully to reveal your finished rainbow with sparkle detail. ▶ watch 9:00

Tips from the show

• Pigment inks give a lovely smooth blend when stencilling.
• The sparkle effect becomes more visible as it dries and fizzes.
• You can use any colours you like - bright oranges, reds and yellows work beautifully if you prefer a traditional rainbow.
