Step by step

  1. Place white cardstock on your cutting mat and position the outline dies from the set, allowing them to extend partially off the page. ▶ watch 8:30
  2. Position your second cutting plate to cover only the portion of the card you want to cut, creating a partial die-cut line. ▶ watch 9:45
  3. Run the card and dies through your die-cutting machine, keeping everything as straight as possible. ▶ watch 10:30
  4. Score along one of the embossed lines using a score tool and scoreboard to create a fold that makes the top portion pop forward. ▶ watch 14:00
  5. Stamp the floral image from the set onto white cardstock using black ink, masking off the bottom half with a piece of card to stamp only the flower portion. ▶ watch 15:45
  6. Apply gold embossing powder to the stamped image and heat-set it with a heat gun until the powder melts and becomes shiny. ▶ watch 17:30
  7. Paint the embossed flowers with watercolour, using yellow and orange to fill the petals with a carefree, random approach. ▶ watch 21:00
  8. Add green watercolour details to the flower centres using a pouncing motion with your brush to control placement in small spaces. ▶ watch 22:45
  9. Position a stencil on a white cardstock layer and lightly dust grey ink through it to create subtle background detail. ▶ watch 27:30
  10. Stamp a sentiment from the set onto the card in black ink, positioning it in the lower right area. ▶ watch 31:00
  11. Apply foam pads to the back of the die-cut shaped piece and the embossed floral panel to create dimension. ▶ watch 33:45
  12. Glue a pink cardstock strip behind the white layer to create a coloured border, then attach the layered design to the pink card base. ▶ watch 37:30
  13. Add sparkly stones and white sequins around the floral design and along the edges to finish the card. ▶ watch 39:45
