Step by step

  1. Prepare two pieces of white card stock and secure them to your work mat. ▶ watch 6:00
  2. Take the first Quattro stencil (numbered 1) and ensure the number is facing you in the top left corner. ▶ watch 6:15
  3. Apply magenta ink through the stencil using a blending technique, creating a sporadic ghostlike effect rather than a smooth blend. ▶ watch 6:45
  4. Add touches of orange ink around the edges and centre of the same stencil layer for colour variation. ▶ watch 7:30
  5. Move to the second card and repeat the stencilling process with magenta and orange inks. ▶ watch 8:15
  6. Apply the second Quattro stencil (numbered 2) to both cards, positioning it in the corner and ensuring the number faces you. ▶ watch 9:00
  7. Blend pink ink through the second stencil, peeking underneath as you add colour to avoid over-saturating. ▶ watch 9:30
  8. Apply the third Quattro stencil (numbered 3) and blend green ink through, then add yellow ink to create a zesty lime-green effect. ▶ watch 11:00
  9. Apply the fourth and final Quattro stencil (numbered 4) with green ink, then add purple ink to the centres for contrast. ▶ watch 12:30
  10. Stamp the Spring Blooms design in black ink onto both stencilled cards, positioning the stamp in the corner of an Eureka stamp positioning tool so you only need to line it up once. ▶ watch 16:00
  11. Die-cut the stamped designs using an appropriate die, creating a larger border around each embellishment. ▶ watch 18:00
  12. Emboss the die-cut designs using a 3D embossing folder, ensuring the raised element is positioned at the back of the folder. ▶ watch 21:00
  13. Create a large 8x8 inch card base and prepare a 7x7 inch design panel to mount in the centre. ▶ watch 23:30
  14. Run a clean embossing folder through the design panel to add texture, cleaning any ink residue from the folder first. ▶ watch 24:00
  15. Mount the embossed design panel onto black card with a subtle black border, then position it on the 8x8 card base at an angle. ▶ watch 26:45
  16. Apply foam pads behind the 3D embellishments and position them in the centre of the card. ▶ watch 28:30
