Step by step

  1. Take the first numbered stencil and position it on your cardstock, using the edge of the cardstock as a guide for alignment. ▶ watch 1:15
  2. Apply pink ink through stencil one using a sponge dauber or brush, laying down a subtle base colour without worrying about perfect blending. ▶ watch 1:45
  3. Line up stencil two in the top corner and apply a purple ink colour through it to add depth to the design. ▶ watch 2:15
  4. Position stencil three and apply a light green ink colour through it, then add touches of darker green to create variation. ▶ watch 3:00
  5. Line up the peony stamp on top of your stencilled design and press down firmly using a black ink pad to add detail and definition. ▶ watch 4:15
  6. Position the outline die around your stamped design and run it through your die-cutting machine to cut out the shape. ▶ watch 5:15
  7. Place your die-cut design into a 3D embossing folder with the raised part on the back, ensuring the design is lined up to the front. ▶ watch 6:30
  8. Run the embossing folder through your die-cutting machine to create the final 3D embossed effect. ▶ watch 6:45
  9. Mount your finished peony embellishment onto a card blank with a sentiment if desired. ▶ watch 7:30
