The Orton category brings together specialist materials for crafters working with clay and ceramics. Whether you're a polymer clay enthusiast, jewellery maker, or ceramic artist, you'll find what you need here to support your creative practice.
This collection features Orton cones in various temperature ratings—Cone 07, Cone 05 and Cone 04—available as single pieces or in boxes of 25. These cones are essential tools for monitoring kiln temperatures during firing, helping you achieve consistent results and protect your finished pieces from over-firing or under-firing. They're used by crafters who fire their own work, whether that's polymer clay jewellery, ceramic decorations, or sculptural pieces.
When selecting your cones, consider the firing temperature your clay or ceramic requires—each cone number corresponds to a specific heat range. If you fire regularly, a box of 25 offers better value and ensures you always have cones on hand. Single pieces are perfect for testing or trying a new firing temperature before committing to a full box. Store your cones in a cool, dry place to keep them in perfect condition for your next kiln session.
