Paso a paso

1. Draw fluffy clouds freehand using a black pen on cardstock, creating various sizes in a loose, organic style. ▶ watch 6:15
2. Draw a heart shape freehand with a black pen, making the outline fairly thick to help with fussy cutting. ▶ watch 7:00
3. Outline the inside of the cloud with a grey alcohol marker to add dimension and prevent it looking flat. ▶ watch 8:30
4. Add shading to the cloud using circular motions with a grey pencil or marker to create depth on regular cardstock. ▶ watch 9:00
5. Colour the heart balloon using watercolour pens, starting with the lightest colour all over, then layering darker shades for dimension. ▶ watch 10:15
6. Blend the watercolour pen colours by adding a touch of water to create a watercolour effect, then layer additional colours on top. ▶ watch 11:00
7. Add detail to the balloon using a black gel pen to draw small circles or patterns on the surface. ▶ watch 12:30
8. Stamp the bunny rabbit image from the Somebunny Loves You stamp set, ensuring the stamp is clean and only stamping the bunny and hand, not the letter or mailbox. ▶ watch 14:15
9. Apply masking tape around the edges to create a square aperture for your sky background. ▶ watch 16:00
10. Apply yellow pigment ink lightly across the masked area using a brush, creating a base for the sky. ▶ watch 17:00
11. Layer orange pigment ink over the yellow, blending gently to create a warm sunset effect. ▶ watch 18:45
12. Add touches of red pigment ink sparingly to create a tropical sky effect, blending carefully with the existing colours. ▶ watch 20:30
13. Remove the masking tape carefully to reveal the coloured sky background. ▶ watch 21:00
14. Stamp the 'with love' sentiment in black ink onto white cardstock. ▶ watch 23:00
15. Glue the white matte layer with the sentiment onto a pink card base. ▶ watch 24:15
16. Arrange the hand-drawn clouds, placing some flat on the card and positioning others to overlap the aperture both inside and outside. ▶ watch 25:00

Consejos del programa

• You don't need dedicated cloud or heart stamps; freehand drawing with a pen works beautifully and adds a personal touch.
• If your fussy cutting isn't perfect, using a thick black outline helps disguise any imperfections.
• Watercolour pens blend well and work just as effectively as alcohol markers for colouring the balloon.
