Tim Holtz Distress Paints are specially formulated acrylic paints designed for mixed media and papercrafting. Whether you're a card maker, scrapbooker or mixed media artist, these paints help you add colour, texture and depth to your creative projects.
This clearance section features Distress Paints in a range of colours, including shades like Gathered Twigs. Crafters use these paints to age and distress card designs, add vintage effects to scrapbook layouts, create backgrounds for mixed media pieces, and colour stamped images with a weathered finish. The paint consistency works well for dabbing, sponging, dry brushing and layering.
When choosing a Distress Paint colour, think about the mood you want to create—earthy tones like Gathered Twigs work beautifully for rustic or vintage designs. Before starting your project, test the paint on scrap cardstock or paper to see how it applies and dries. These paints work best on porous surfaces, so cardstock, watercolour paper and kraft card are ideal choices for your crafting.
